Tom Spees Joins Block Imaging as VP of Strategic Development

The Block Imaging team invites you to join us in welcoming long-time healthcare entrepreneur and thought leader, Tom Spees as our new Vice President of Strategic Development. Many of you have worked with Tom personally over the years or with organizations he’s been a part of shaping. From AID, to Dunlee, Philips, to Richardson Electronics, you know the value he brings to any project. Beginning in August, Tom will work alongside Block's current leadership, using his years of experience in equipment sales, independent imaging service, and replacement parts sourcing to continue improving and expanding the way Block Imaging serves healthcare facilities around the world.

With decades in the industry, both as a representative of major OEMs and independent OEM partners, Tom has a breadth of knowledge that will help bring our internal teams together on a deeper level. We believe his contributions will help us grow and offer healthcare providers more equipment options, more responsive service, and more access to replacement parts through Block Imaging.

When we asked what drew him to consider joining us, Tom said,

"I was first introduced to Block Imaging when I met the company's founder, Bruce Block in the 90's. Since then, and into my years working with their current leadership, I have continued to be impressed by Block's company culture and have always felt and seen a strong sense of integrity from them. Over the last several months, the timing aligned for me to become a part of that."

Tom went on to describe some of the things he's looking forward to accomplishing in his first 6-12 months:

"There's strong potential to 'break down silos' and build even greater synergy between the equipment and parts and service arms of the organization. I'm also excited to bring my global experience and partnerships into play to work with Block's other team leads in growing what Block Imaging can offer globally."

Block Imaging's President of Parts and Service, Jason Crawford told us what he was looking forward to about working with Tom as well.
