When sorting through the various acronyms in Siemens' digital cath lab product line, it can be difficult to know exactly which acronym matches your system and which replacement parts you'll need to order in the event of equipment failure. We’re here to help clarify.
Specifically, we’ll be discussing the single-plane, flat panel digital systems in the “Axiom Artis dXX” line of cath labs (the “XX” being the specific model). If you're not 100% sure which model you have, use the link below to help find out, then click your "back" button to return and learn more about replacement parts.
We’ll start with the detectors. While there are many system configurations available, the Siemens Axiom Artis labs only use a couple of different detectors. These detectors differ not only by size, but also by their compatibility with features like magnetic navigation (mag nav) and digital subtraction angiography (DSA). Should you have a Siemens Axiom Artis dFC with mag nav, there are 2 different detector part numbers that you’ll need to look for that are compatible with this configuration.
System(s) | Detector Type | Part Number |
dFA, dTA, dMP | 30 x 40cm angio | 7555209 |
dFC, dTC | 20 x 20cm cardiac | 7555100 |
dFC, dTC | 20 x 20cm cardiac w/DSA | 7555308 |
dFC w/mag nav | dFC w/mag nav | 7727758 |
dFC w/mag nav & DSA | dFC w/mag nav & DSA | 3840761 |
For the X-ray tubes used with the Axiom Artis product line, you'll need to purchase one of the following tube types, denoted by model, when you need a replacement. Be aware- if your system currently has a tube installed that does not have "Cat" on the label, it is a tube with an older bearing style that has since been replaced by one of the liquid bearing tubes listed here. Also, if you have a dFC lab, be sure to confirm whether or not it has mag nav, as the feature requires that you use one of two tube types that are not compatible with other dFC labs.
System(s) | Tube Model | Part Number |
dFC | MEGALIX Cat 125/35/80-121GW | 5764506 |
dFC, dTC, dFA, dTA, dMP | MEGALIX Cat 125/15/40/80-122GW | 5765222 |
dFC | MEGALIX Cat Plus 125/40/90-121GW | 10144181 |
dFC, dTC, dFA, dTA, dMP | MEGALIX Cat Plus 125/20/40/80-122GW | 10144184 |
dFC w/mag nav | MEGALIX Cat 125/35/80-123GW | 5765404 |
dFC w/mag nav | MEGALIX Cat Plus 125/40/90-123GW | 10144182 |
dTC | MEGALIX Cat 125/35/80-122GW | 5765040 |
dTC | MEGALIX Cat Plus 125/40/90-122GW | 10144180 |
If you'd like to learn more about what the differences between these tubes are (like what the heck all the numbers mean), you can find out here: Decoding the MEGALIX Cath/Angio X-Ray Tube.
