While the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues, we at Block Imaging would like to share with our valued partners what we're doing as a company to keep you, your teams, and your patients safe during this pandemic.
As a global provider of medical equipment and parts and a service and mobile rental provider across the United States, we understand that we have a role to play in keeping hospitals and clinics serving patients. At the same time, we also understand that the movement of our personnel and goods through our own facilities and into yours needs to be handled with extra care. The following are the measures we're taking to provide that care:
• Any Block Imaging team member showing symptoms of sickness is required to refrain from coming to work and advised to contact their physician for treatment.
• All replacement parts being shipped from Block Imaging are cleaned with disinfecting wipes before packaging and handled by personnel wearing nitrile gloves. Incoming inventory is unpacked immediately, wiped with disinfectant, and its packing material disposed of.
• Any system shipping from the Block Imaging warehouse receives treatment similar to our parts. All covers, screens, and surfaces without exposed electronics are wiped with disinfectant prior to packaging.
• Engineers are still being dispatched for urgent service calls. If a system is inoperable, an engineer will still come to your site to restore functionality. Non-urgent calls, such as scheduled preventative maintenance, are being postponed temporarily, pending further developments in the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent travel restrictions.
