OEC 9600 SRAM Install

In a recent article we discussed ordering a new SRAM card to fix three common boot-up problems for the OEC 9600 c-arm. As a follow-up, we want to make sure you know what to do next after that shiny new card arrives at your facility.

If you haven't ordered yet, confirm your software level then select the card you need here.

Fortunately, SRAM cards purchased from Block Imaging come pre-loaded with generator software. If the SRAM card is truly the source of the problem, having these files will keep the steps simple and to a minimum.

Please note: these instructions are intended as a supplemental resource for trained biomedical or clinical engineers.

  1. Remove the old SRAM card and plug the new one into the port.
  2. Perform a radiation dose check. Differences in generator software versions can cause changes in dose when a new card is installed.
  3. If your dose results come back within acceptable limits (as dictated by FDA regulations) no further action is required.
  4. If your dose is high or low, this can be solved my adjusting your mA tables back to 5r or 10r standard.

Those four quick steps will clear the majority of “Checksum” errors, “Serial Num Mismatch” errors, and system freezes during boot-up.
